In efforts to make productive use of the available and large expanse of land, Nigerian army has commenced construction of road network into Sambisa forest.
In time past, the forest was used as shelter by the Boko Haram terrorist group and it was believed to be where they kept the hostages from the Chibok school girls kidnapping in April 2014 and their other subsequent hostages.
The Nigerian army had, however, claimed to have cleared the forest of the terrorists.
